Unbelievable the way Nike comes up with fantastic commercials. So much so that sometimes it does get predictable. Which is why I was pleasantly surprised to get a talkie this time, featuring KD and the new KD VI.
Talk about mad advertising production skillz, it hasn’t been a week and the Nike puppets are out with a Championship ad already. And it’s absolutely hilarious too:
For me, James is the most ‘Jordan-like’ of all this generation’s players. Not because he plays anything like MJ, but because he’s difficult to ‘grasp’.
Here’s another commercial again with some acting from KG, this time with Billups.
Not being in a rush. Whenever you try to force things it tends to go the opposite way. If there’s a behind the back pass that presents itself then do it but don’t go out there looking to do it.
No truer words.
Ok it’s Amare’s turn:
He had an interesting story at the end about how when he was a kid he managed to dunk practicing alone, tried to brag about it, tried to show it off to his friends but couldn’t do it until after 4 days.
Check out the sick sick sick move where, while running towards a defender, he twists left, bounces the ball between the legs from the back to the front and then bounces it back to his left again, leaving him free to drive it home with the defender looking stupid.
