Why in heck am I posting a Kobe Bryant graphic way after the Finals?
Because He's Coming Back, That's Why.
and the news is so fresh the promoters haven't even made a graphic or thought of a name for the tour yet. So here's the official word:
Nike announced today that it would host 2009 NBA Champion and Finals MVP Kobe Bryant on a six-city tour of Asia. Developed as an opportunity for Kobe to meet with kids throughout Asia to inspire, energize and improve their basketball skills, Kobe's tour will make stops in Manila, Singapore, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Chengdu, China, starting July 21, 2009.
Kobe Bryant 2009 Asia Tour Schedule:
July 21: Manila
July 22: Singapore
July 23: Taipei
July 24: Hong Kong
July 25: Shanghai
July 26: Chengdu
..and that's it. Oh of course, there's a shoe.
From July 1st, Nike will launch the Nike Dream Season. Developed to meet the needs of outdoor basketball players in Asia, the Nike Dream Season was designed with insights from Kobe. The shoe will be a part of his signature collection and will be sold exclusively in Asia.
So all you Kobe haters, Kobe lovers, and Kobe can't make up their minds about him yeters, here's yet another opportunity to ogle your hero / anti-hero like we did in '07, when he put on a memorable show (and it really was believe me).
Then again if you're not convinced, just consider this an opportunity to see what a 4x NBA Champion and current MVP, 11x All-Star, 2x Scoring Champion, 7x All NBA First team, 7x All Defensive First Team, 3x All Star Game MVP and '97 Slam Dunk Champion looks like.
